I personally love the fluidity with which Star Trek works with the space time continuum. This is a classic episode. Very compelling and a good use of the prime directive.

This is a Gilligan's Island episode wherein the crew has a chance to get home. Perfect acting and more kickass Janeway moments make this a must see.

Strange? Yes. Holodeck malfunction? Check. First episode where the doctor kicks butt? You bet! This one cemented the doc as my favorite Voyager crew member.

Yet another phenomenal episode! This one has everything you expect from a Trek episode too....ship battles, intrigue, and a nice plot twist at the end. Easily one of my favorites so far!

We watched this one as a family after dinner the other night. I am pretty sure I am creating a couple of Trekkies/Trekkers in my Fiancee and Son. Neelix really appeals to them and after watching this one - which is full of intrigue and action, my Son exclaimed, "can we watch another one?" Sadly it was bed time so we had to wait...

Excellent episode by my calculations. The interplay between Garrett and Robert really makes their friendship seem more real. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere in the prison - very dreary and frightening. The guest appearance by Robert Pine (father of Chris Pine) as the extremely infuriating ambassador was a great touch as well.

The Doctor's mobile emitter is damaged while beaming back from an away mission, merging with Seven of Nine's Borg nanoprobes and the DNA of a male Ensign to create a 29th century Borg.

Features: The Borg

Air Date: 10/21/98
Director: Les Landau

Jack's Review
Excellent episode. The new drone is well played and actually quite well used in the episode. I do enjoy what the writers are doing with the Borg in the Voyager series. They are vulnerable - something quite contrary to the first Borg episodes in the Next Generation series.

I always hate it when someone comes onto a Starfleet ship and starts pushing the Captain around....but I love it when the Captain puts them in their place. Kate Mulgrew solidifies Janeway as one of the greatest captains ever in this episode. She knows she can't fight...knows she is being played....Oh, my is her counterpoint awesome. Not so brazen as Kirk's reply to Khan or as in-your-face as Picard's chicken match with Shinzon....but no less epic.

Jack's Review
A fun if quirky episode. You have to love Robert Picardo and what he brings to the Doctor as a character.
